Physical Security: Protecting People, Assets, and Infrastructure

Physical security is a fundamental aspect of organizational safety, focusing on protecting people, assets, and critical infrastructure from physical threats. Unlike cybersecurity, which deals with digital information, physical security addresses tangible risks, including theft, vandalism, sabotage, natural disasters, and unauthorized access. It forms a critical layer in a comprehensive security strategy and is essential for businesses, government facilities, educational institutions, and even private residences.

The article made me think about how physical security is often overlooked until something actually goes wrong. I once worked on a small project about access control and realized there was much more to security than passwords and software. Learning about cameras, entry points, and protection plans took more time than I expected, especially with other coursework due, so Master level class help crossed my mind when my workload became difficult. Has anyone studied physical security before? I’d appreciate some useful study tips. Nice post.
